So what makes Rajni stand out from among the rest? When we spoke to Nambi Rajan, the owner of Mumbai's Aurora Cinema he replied promptly, "His simplicity!" Indeed the actor who looks ultra glamorous with his makeup in Sivaji has absolutely no qualms in sporting his baldpate in real life. It's his common man looks that have often struck a chord with the audiences. Rajni who has also starred in a Hollywood venture called Bloodstone (1988) has a unique distinction of acting not just in all the four South Indian language films but also in Hindi and (believe it or not) Bengali film (Baghya Devatha) too. With an unprecedented fan following, Rajni is one man who can move masses like no other. Needless to say he has been hounded by political parties to support them during the elections. While he did support certain parties, Rajni remains non-committal towards joining politics. Either way, politics or no politics, Rajnikanth is undoubtedly the biggest superstar India has ever or will ever see. Here's to a long innings, Rajni.

Don't be rude or interrupt others who are having a conversation. Ethnic slurs, personal insults and abuses are rather uncool. Criticise, but know where to draw the line. No point putting in personal details or links, we won't publish them. Try and write in English and please, stick to the point!
