It's Drona Vs Kidnap this week!
Both the new releases Hari Puttar and Rafoo Chakkar have got big thumbs down from the audiences and critics alike. Those unfortunate few who have been venturing into the cinema halls for them have been seen walking out midway. They have however proven major boon for couples seeking some solace in a crowded metro like Mumbai.
Amongst last week's releases Welcome to Sajjanpur managed to come triumphs over its two other competitors Saas Bahu Aur Sensex and Hulla. WTS garnered a decent Rs 6.5 crore in its first week with a major chunk of it coming from the Mumbai circuit. But after a better weekend it failed to maintain the upward tempo. Saas Bahu aur Sensex showed poor collections of Rs 50 lakhs whereas Hulla was a complete disaster with total collections close to just Rs 15 lakh only.
1920, Rock On and A Wednesday the last few weeks' good runners at the BO have continued doing good business and with open field this week to bad films they will get one more opportunity to make hay before Kidnap and Drona take over.
NEXT: So how have the two new releases faired at the box office
I stay just opposite a cinema hall where kidnap runs at 3:30
and 9:30 pm shows while drona runs at 12:00pm and 6:30pm
shows. The parking seems to be deserted for latter (drona)
while there is houseful for former (kidnap). Does that
answers?? :)
