Ash-Jaya gang up against Rani

The saas-bahu duo engage in some Rani Mukerji gossip, get a fitting reply

For all that politically correct image of hers, Aishwarya Rai can be quite, well, scathing when it comes to criticising. I am talking about an incident that took place on the sets of Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag in Switzerland. Once, Ash happened to drop by on the sets of the film, which stars Abhishek, Rani and Jaya. Clearly unimpressed with the chemistry her husband and Rani shared on and even off screen, Ash seemed to have turned a little (ahem) green.

So the next thing the otherwise-demure actress does, is draw out her claws and pass some rather unpleasant remarks about Rani.

But it didn't end there. My sources tell me that the actress was joined by her mom-in-law. It seems they kept passing comments about her equation with Abhishek and the way she had dressed up (remember she is playing a call girl in the film). One of them even went to the extent of saying, "Why can't she understand she isn't part of Abhishek's life anymore?"

But Rani being herself was least bothered to react to any of this. Of course, that hasn't stopped me from wondering why Aditya Chopra has decided to release Lagaa... on the same day as Ash-starrer Jodhaa Akbar.

Well saas-bahu sweeties, it'd be a nice thing to remember that though you may have the superstar in your pocket she has his paymaster.

The story seems to vague, and very much as hear say gossip.
You are picking on high profile characters with such a weak
story. Even if it is true, the depth of the story leaves me
saying, why did i read this.

You are doing such an excellent job covering so many global
and current issues. Do you think you really need sections
like this... ? This would be an ideal fit for an upcoming
gossip magazine or a website trying to attract attention. I
am quite surprised to see these kind of stories on ibn live.

Don't be rude or interrupt others who are having a conversation. Ethnic slurs, personal insults and abuses are rather uncool. Criticise, but know where to draw the line. No point putting in personal details or links, we won't publish them. Try and write in English and please, stick to the point!
