'I'm back to playing naughty again'

After a long break post Aawarapan (which fell flat on its face at the Box Office), Emraan Hashmi the serial kisser, is back with yet another quintessential Mahesh Bhatt production.

Jannat – in search of heaven, is another Bhatt camp story with lots of action, a sizzling romance, a good amount of skin show against a background of cricket. As Mahesh Bhatt puts it, "Cricket, crime and cinema are the three HOT things and it comes together in Jannat." The heroine in Jannat is Sonal Chauhan, a model, who, according to the previews of the film, will be wrapped around Emraan like a boa constrictor. And yes, she wears very few articles of clothing. And whaddya know, Emraan too goes topless in one of the scenes.

Whereas, Mahesh claims, "The movie is primarily a normal love story against a backdrop of cricket --- about a boy and his romantic interest in a girl", Emraan seems to disagree. According to the actor,
"Jannat is about the face of cricket which we haven't seen before."

So what is that face of cricket you ask? It's about match fixing and the bookies and all the chaos that goes behind a cricket match. And to play his character of a cricket bookie, Emraan has sure done his homework well. "I talked to a lot of bookies", says Emraan excitedly. "It was interesting."

Moving on to discuss the utter failure of their last movie together, Bhatt says, "Aawarapan was a learning experience. We overestimated our strength as filmmakers. Only good content nowadays can't see one through the day. You need proper marketing. And it was foolish on our part to release it alongside Aap Ka Suroor which was marketed so well." And they are not going to make that mistake this time around. According to Bhatt, "Tying up with Percept Picture Company will ensure that the marketing is outstanding."
